Ujjain : Careless digging by workers of the Avantika Gas Private Limited Dewas Road and Bharatpuri area, where many government departments have their offices, has left the residents fuming. Over 1,000 telephones lines of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have been disconnected for the past days. Residents said the telephone lines were snapped due to the unmindful digging work. The authorities concerned have been apprised of the problem, but to no avail, they said. Another resident said the broadband services have also been affected, the BSNL authorities have failed to repair the damaged cables even after numerous complaints, he added. While an official said, the cables have been damaged at various points and will be repaired soon but we will also send a complaint application to the company, possibly a case will also be registered.
