Nine Chinkaras found dead

OUR STAFF REPORTER BHOPAL The incessant rains in the State are proving a bane for the wild animals. On Sunday morning, nine chinkaras were found dead in a village of Shivpuri district.

The villagers informed the forest officers and they rec

overed the bodies of Chinkaras.

A senior forest officer of Shivrpuri, HC Gupta told said that the animals were found dead in the waterlogged fields of Pali village.

They got struck in the muddy water and probably died of asphyxia. The postmortem report of the dead animals is awaited, added Gupta. Recently around one dozen deer were found dead in Ashok Nagar.

Those deaths too were attributed to incessant rains.
