Singh said, adding: ” I would request you to address your grievances to the statutory authorities concerned.” Terming the polices decision a ” violation of his fundamental rights”, Hazare asserted, in his two- page letter to the prime minister, t
hat despite the restriction, he will go ahead with the fast, and if arrested he will continue it in jail.
Earlier, an adamant Hazare refused to tailor his fast protest here as per the governments diktats and warned that he would stop taking even water if arrested and fed forcibly.
He wants to fast for 30 days and not just three days allowed by Delhi Police in a conditional permission granted on Saturday, wanting him to wind up the show by 6 pm on Thursday.
Another condition unacceptable to him is to limit the number of protesters to not more than 4,000 or 5,000 and not more than 50 cars and 50 bikes lest traffic is disrupted affecting people going to the nearby hospitals. ” We canalt39t control the number of people; the entire India is standing by us,” he affirmed at a press conference, also addressed by his civil society activists.
