Ujjain: Local court on Tuesday sentenced a murder attempt accused five year imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 41, 000. According to SP Anurag Kumar, complainant Anil Sahlani son of Jethanand, a resident of Sindhi Colony lodged an FIR at Neelganga police station on May 16, 2011 that he and his friend Vinit son of Nanakram Sindhi were having a conversation at Sindhi Colony square.

Meanwhile, accused Sonu alias, Khenu son of Mahendra Sindhi, a resident of Prakash Nagar stabbed complainant and his friend Vinit and left them severely injured. On the report of complainant, Neelganga police filed an FIR against accused under Section 307,323 and 506 of IPC.

A charge sheet was presented in the court by SI Jayram Singh Chauhan. The case was pleaded by AGP RL Mishra. On the basis of evidences, 11th ADJ DN Mishra convicted Sonu and sentenced him for five year imprisonment under Section 307 of the IPC and charged fine of Rs 40, 000, on Tuesday. The court also charged fine of Rs 1000 against accused under Section 323.
