Neemuch : Neemuch Municipal Council on Monday amid the commotion and hubbub of the Councilors has passed number of proposals. The Municipal Council has passed the proposal of putting public tap at the various locations of the city. The Council has also approved the proposal to determine the policy for putting hoardings in the city.

The proposal to remove the illegal encroachment was also passed by the Council. During the meeting vigorous debate took place between BJP and Congress councilors.

BJP and Congress Councilors showed their dissent regarding the delayed development works in the city. BJP Councilor Murli said that the Council has paid no attention on the application submitted by him for the construction of 154 toilets in his ward. BJP Councilor Ramesh Mali that no arrangements for drinking water has been done by the Council in his ward. He has raised the issue of setting public tap in his ward but no attention has been paid by the Council.

Congress Councilor Jagdish Maheshwari that the women toilet was broken down in his ward which still not got constructed. On which Senior Engineer AN Verma the payment has been done to the contractor and the construction work will start soon. BJP Councilor Urmila Kabra showed her dissent regarding the pit holes dug up at Ganesh Mandir Tri-junction which has resulted in many accidents.

Municipal Council has approved proposals regarding to determine the policy of Education tax rates, water tax, to determine the policy for the proper protection of Hatt areas and others. Councils also gave approval in the cases under National Indira Gandhi Old Age Widow Pension, Social Security pension and other such schemes.

During the meeting, Congress Councilors supported and BJP Councilors opposed the proposal for the promotion of Bhanwan Lal Lukda on the post of Sanitary Inspection vacant at New Neemuch area. Later the proposal was cancelled the BJP Councilors as they were in majority.
