Ujjain: MP State Tourism Development Corporation ( MPSTDC) will organise Shree Krishna- Sudama Sandipani Rath- atra ( chariot procession) on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami from ISKCON temple, located at Bharatpuri, on August 28.
This was informed by MPSTDC Chairman Mohan adav during a press conference held at Kshipra Hotel here on Sunday. Rathyatra will be taken out from ISKCON temple in the morning on August 28 after performing pujan and aarti.
Procession will pass through city’s prime temples, Chhota Gopal mandir, Dwarkadhish temple, Sandipani Ashram and will end at Narayandham in Mahidpur. This year, an attractively decorated chariot of Acharya Sandipani will accompany the procession.
According to ISKCON PRO Raghav Pundit, ISKCON temple is gearing up for grand celebrations for Janmashtami festival to be celebrated on Wednesday. During the two day long programme, ISKCON temple will organise several events to mark the occasion.
On the first day, Mangal aarti will be held at 4.30 am while Krishna Leela Pravachan, Gurupuja, Darshan aarti, agya, Bhog aarti, Sandhya aarti, cultural programmes, kirtan, Maha abhishek, mahaarti and mahaprasadi will be held at 12 am. On August 29, Nandotsava and Shreel Prabhupad Aavirbhav tithi mahotsava will be celebrated. Mumbai based artists will perform matki fod contest.
Cultural performance will be given by Rasraaj Sanskritik Nritya Sanstha, ISKCON Sunday School, Ramdas Kala Kendra. Priyavratdas and Radharani from England will be chief guests on this occasion.
Yogesh Kaushal, Nitesh Singh and Dishi Sungra are decorating temple for the occasion. An exhibition titled ‘ Bio- agriculture and Cow Protection’ will also be conducted.
