Indore : The girl, who went missing on Thursday after she had returned home from school, was found confined in neighbours house. Finding items of Pooja, the family has levelled charges of sacrifice on the neighbour and his son. Police have arrested the father and son duo.

According to Banganga police, 5- year old Bhoomika of Durga Nagar went missing around 11am on Thursday. When she failed to return, the family searched the colony and surrounding areas. However, the search failed to reveal her whereabouts.

Bhoomikas father Ghanshyam Solanki said that he is a farmer by profession and Bhoomika was student of KG- I in a nearby school.

On Thursday, she had gone to school to celebrate Republic Day and he had brought her home around 11am. Bhoomika left home to play with her friends but failed to return. Thereafter, the family members, neighbours and friends mounted a search for her.

Solanki said that while they were contemplating their next move after a exhaustive search failed to locate Bhoomika, they noticed the teenaged son of their neighbour, Rajesh Katare, come out of his house late in the night. He conducted some sort of puja at the road crossing and spread cut lemon pieces.

The act of the boy raised suspicions and when the family tried to enter their house, Katare blocked them from doing so. However, the family forced their way with the help of other residents and found Bhooika tied and gagged in a barrel with Katares son towering over her.

Bhoomika was promptly rescued and was found to be in a shock. The angry mob took their ire on Katare and his father- inlaw and beat them up thoroughly.

During the beating, the father- in- law managed to escape. Katare and his family practise black magic and the searching party had noticed a youth armed with weapons of sort at their home during the search.

Meanwhile, Rajesh said from jail that he was employed with a property broker.

On Thursday, when he returned from his workplace, he came to know of Boomikas disappearance.

However, when he entered his home he found Bhoomika bound and gagged and immediately informed the family, but they charged him with kidnapping.

When questioned as to why Bhoomika was bound and gagged, Katare said that she used to play with his son and may be he tied her up during the play. The police, however, have registered cases against Katare and his son and are investigating involvement of Katares father- in- law and other family members.

Katare was part of the search party Bhoomikas father Ghanshyam said that while the search was on, Rajesh Katare had joined the party in search and sympathised with him. He also pretended to do some black magic and told them that someone had taken the girl to a far off place.
