Ujjain : Law and order situation of the city is deteriorating day by day another trader of the Chimanganj Mandi has been robbed on Wednesday evening by the three unknown robbers.
Robbery occurred when Mandi trader, Jeetendra Harbhajanka after closing his shop returning to his home at Mahashweta Nagar. Three robbers on bike stopped him on the turn of Isckon Temple at Dewas Road and took him inside the dark lane of the area. On the knife point robbers first looted Rs 30,000 cash from his pocket and then opened the under seat storage of his Activa and took away booty of Rs 1.80 lakh cash from the vehicle. After looting the total amount of Rs 2.10 lakh from the trader robbers fled away from the scene.
In the manner which robbery had occurred it shows that likely robbers had been following the trader from the Mandi Campus and intersected the victim at Dewas Road. President of the Mandi Traders Association, Nimesh Agrawal said that, they have convened the meeting of all the 40 traders association of the city on Thursday to discuss about their safety as such kind of incident could happen with any traders of the city.
On the morning of November 26, one of the Mandi Traders, Manoj Jaiswal had been looted in similar manner and robbers had robbed off bag having Rs 13 lakh cash when he was going to his shop. Chimanganj Mandi Police is still clueless in the robbery of November 26 and now this incident had raised the serious questions on the policing of the city.
