Miscreants kill youth by crushing head

Ujjain: Miscreants brutally killed a youth by stabbing him and crushing his head by stones at Nanakheda Stadium here on Sunday night.

Neelganga police received information about a body lying near Nanakheda Stadium and reached at the spot. The deceased was identified as Vishal ( 19), son of Rajesh Prajapat, a resident of New Ashok Nagar.

His family members told that he received a phone call from his friend at around 10 pm on Sunday after which he left home. When he did not return home till late night, the family members lodged an FIR of missing.

Vishal’s cousin Sachin Prajapat said that the deceased was unmarried and has a younger brother. He was a tractor driver and his father is a supplier of building materials.

His friends had invited him for a party at Muni Nagar pond. One of his relatives dropped him at the party venue.

CSP Vijay Davar, FSL officer Arvind Nayak and other officers examined the spot and found empty bottles of alcohol and blood- stained stones near the body. It seems that the deceased ran for life when the murderers attacked him, but he could not save himself, police said.

According to sources, Vishal had eloped with a girl from Bansod Mohalla a year ago. Police are investigating this angle also.

Vishal was attacked with knives, glass, bottles and stones. There might be four to five attackers, police said. Family of the deceased suspect that one Ravi and his friends were behind murder. Police sent the body for autopsy and are investigating the matter.

One persons has been detained for interrogation, police said. According to sources, the deceased had received life threat and he went to the police station to file complaint about the same on Sunday morning but he did not.
