MiC nod for dev works worth over Rs 25 cr

Ujjain : Mayor in Council ( MiC) has approved development works worth over Rs 25 crore during a meeting held at Ujjain Municipal Corporation, here on Friday. The development works will be done ahead of Simhastha Fair- 2016.

MiC gave approval for construction of first floor of community hall at Kishanpura with cost of Rs 1.70 crore. Tenders will be invited for the work through e- tendering.

Rs 9 crore was approved for development of Sapt Sagar ( seven ancient water bodies) while tenders of Rs 6.52 crore will be invited beautification of Rudra Sagar, Rs 1.41 for renovation of Grand Hotel, Rs 2.39 crore for development of Chhatris located at Ramghat. MiC also gave approval for calling tenders worth Rs 37.60 lakh for construction of road between LOTI School triangle to Madhav Club road and Rs 1.62 crore for construction of gallery at Kshir Sagar stadium.

MiC also gave nod for installation of new sump- well, pump house substation, etc near Bhairavgarh overhead water tank with cost of Rs 1.75 crore, construction of condolence meeting hall at Chakratirtha with cost of Rs 1 crore under MP’s fund. Approval was also given for purchase of tractor, hydraulic trolley, vehicles for UMC officials and central light between Hari Fatak to Makodiam.

Mayor Rameshwar Akhand chaired the meeting while Municipal Commissioner Avinash Lavania and other officials were present during the meeting.
