Is it possible to pursue MBBS or MD after successful completion of my MSc in Physiology? I am already done with the MSc.

— Isha Trikeya Dear Isha, Technically, the academic eligibility criterion for MBBS academically is the clearance of Cl

ass 12 with a specific percentage. Most of the institutes will want you to consider entrance examinations, either at the national level or the state level, but the on the grounds of eligibility due to age, you might lose out. Also, you will lose the precious years you spent in getting the MSc degree, since you will have to start afresh with those who have recently cleared the class 12 examination. An MD or a doctoral degree for physicians is not recommended as per your current academic background. The eligibility for the MD course is restricted to medical graduates holding the MBBS degree and training is obtained in medical disciplines that are non- surgical in nature like Internal Medicine, Radiology, Pathology, etc.
