Man drowns in Chambal river at Ingoriya

UJJAIN: A villager drowned in the Chambal River at Jahangirpur in Ingoriya village here on Sunday. Deceased identified as Laxman (40), reportedly swam into deep waters to extract his buffaloes our and were caught in a swirl and drowned in the river. Incident was reported when he did not reach at his home by night and the villagers initiated a search and rescue operation. His body was fished out on Monday morning and was shifted to Civil Hospital here for post mortem. The Ingoriya police have registered a case and were trying to figure out if any kind of foulplay was involved in the death.
