Court denies bail; accused cop sent to jail

Ujjain: Mahidpur police station in-charge SS Nagar was suspended by SP Anurag Kumar for allegedly harassing a woman, on Monday. Accused police officer is facing imprisonment as he was denied of bail plea in local court after his shameful act was caught red handed by villagers.

Incident occurred during late night on Sunday when city SP Anurag Kumar was informed about injured Mahidpur TI SS Nagar who was allegedly beaten by villagers for harassing a woman. Looking to the sensitivity of SP directed top cops ASP Pankaj Shrivastava and DSP AJAK Prashant Mukadam to investigate into the matter.

It was disclosed that, Mahidpur TI SS Nagar has been harassing a local woman for past six months, after he had helped the woman in a case of family altercation six months ago. He was keeping an ill eye on the woman since then and similar incident followed on Monday night when disgraced cop reached the house of woman late at night in civil dress after a sensual talk on the cell phone, where he was captured and beaten by villagers and family members.

After the incident Nagar ran from the spot and reached the police station and concocted a whole new story that he went to catch a person who was externed from the district and was beaten by villagers who were enraged of the catch-up. His story was foiled up when the victim woman reached the police station with a cell phone voice recording of the cop, which dismantled his whole story.

After which he was instantly arrested and locked up too preventing any further complications. The whole police department was ashamed when voice recording was played, which revealed the internal animal of Nagar. Taking immediate action city SP Anurag suspended Nagar with immediate effect, from where he was brought to AJAK police in the morning, from where he was produced in court of JFMC Saarika Giri, who denied his bail plea and sent Nagar to Bhairavgarh jail.
