Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): A workshop on New Education Policy (NEP) for the first-year students was organised in Government Girls’ Post-Graduate College (GGPGC) under the aegis of IQAC.

The resource person Dr Anita Manchandia, professor and head of chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry, enlightened the students about the structure of the graduation curriculum under NEP-2020 and the academic framework of internship.

She explained about the credit system vocational course structure and the evaluation system. In his presidential address principal Dr HL Anijwal said that the students should carefully select the major, minor and elective subjects to avail the benefit of multi-level entry system in the NEP.

Heads of the departments along with subject teachers are also guiding students about the new CBCS system. Any student who is admitted to first year UG has to select 1 major,1 minor, 1 elective from same faculty or other (from the list), 1 vocational (from the list), 1 foundation course (compulsory),1 project/field work to be decided in guidance with the subject teacher. If the student wants to do PG in a particular subject then he/she has to opt that subject in third year. There will be CCE of theory as well as practical subjects also.
