SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MINORITY STUDENTS

BHOPAL: A sum of over Rs 25 crore has been received by the Madhya Pradesh government from the Union Government during the last three years under the scheme for providing scholarships to minority co

mmunity students. The scholarships are being provided for development of education under minority- dominated areas development scheme.

120 ASST PROFESSORS FOR MEDICAL COLLEGES

BHOPAL: Since March 2011 till now, 120 posts of assistant professor have been filled up in the medical colleges.

Out of the appointees, 35 have been appointed in Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal; 29 in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Indore; 15 in Gajaraja Medical College, Gwalior; 15 in Jabalpur Medical College, 14 in Rewa Medical College and 12 assistant professors have been appointed in Sagar Medical College.

VILLAGE WHERE BOOZERS ARE FINED

Bhopal: There is a unique village in Madhya Pradesh where fine is imposed on those who consume liquor. The quantum of fine is Rs 1,500 for those consume, Rs 2,500 fine is imposed on those who make a scene under the influence of liquor. The village is Devli, in Barwani district.
