Ujjain :  Lok Ayukta police registered an FIR against the then Additional Tehsildar of Ujjain, Sunil Patil for misuse of office and benefitting his acquaintance and conducting auction of the land on the cost of lesser than collector guidelines.

Lok Ayukta sources informed that a beneficiary Kailash son of Ratanlal Parmar, a resident of Datana took a loan of Rs 5.50 lakh from SBI branch of Narwar of district Ujjain in 2005 while mortgaging his 6.410 hectare agricultural land. As he could not deposit installments of the loan, the bank referred a case of recovery of loan to Collector office on January 5, 2011. Collector forwarded the case to the then Additional Tehsildar Sunil Patil for further action. Corrupt Tehsildar organised the auction of the land of beneficiary on February 28, 2011 in which he auctioned the four beegha of land on the cost of Rs 9.90 lakh in favour of his acquaintance Radheshyam Yadav of Totla Nagar Indore. The land’s cost was Rs 19, 71, 600 at that time as per the Collector’s guideline. The beneficiary had deposited Rs 6, 05, 338 in the bank and he had deposit only the amount of Rs 60, 050. Patil got a cheque of Rs 9.90 lakh deposited in his account at SBI Madhav Nagar April 7, 2011 and got the land register in the name of Yadav without paying the amount to the beneficiary.

A complaint was lodged against corrupt Tehsildar at headquarter of Lok Ayukta on July 1, 2014 on the information of inspector Dineshchandra Patel. FIR was registered against Tehsildar Sunil Patil, Radheshyam Yadav and others after the allegations were proven right during the investigation. Lok Ayukta had also filed a complaint against Nayab Tehsildar Deepali Jadhav in such a case earlier.
