Ujjain : Ujjainites looked awesome amidst the misty morning of Rahgiri held at Tarantal to Kothi Palace on Sunday. Their excitement knew no bounds with the fun and frolic activities at the fest. The extravaganza of Rahgiri lured Collector Kavindra Kiyawat and his wife Jayshree Kiyawat, who is Managing Director of NHRM, Bhopal, could not stop themselves to snap a selfie.
The city of temples woke up at the rise of dawn and thronged to the venue of Rahgiri to have a wonderful morning. The weather was little chilled and the fog was enveloping the ambience. It added the beauty to the fiesta and revellers enjoyed every bit of the Rahgiri. The nature too poured its dewy beauty at the festivity which was the bliss for the visitors of Rahgiri. People from all walks of life were seen sunken in extreme excitement. Little kids in the attire of different gods and goddesses enticed the viewers and applauded to their performances.
‘Laugh and be fit’ stall was the center of attraction for the spectators. It motivated them to laugh out loud to be healthy and fit. Singers Club members struck the right chord and sang the evergreen numbers. Morning walkers at once halted listening to the melodious voice of MIT Prof Mukesh Shinde and his companions. Special kids also presented the songs and dance performances. They also formed pyramids and amazed the audience. Antakshari, folkdance, jokes corner, Mallkhamb, dance, garba, dance drama and others also coloured the rainbow of Rahgiri and entertained the visitors. Public Relations department conducted an exhibition at Rahgiri, which was the apple of every one’s eye. Department held different hoardings at the exhibition to invite visitors for Simhastha.
