Kisan Morcha workers give court arrest

Before arriving at the railway station premises at about 1.35 pm, a public meeting was held near the venue, where speakers demanded implementation of Kisan Adhikar Patra and recommendations of Swaminathan Commission; execution of Chief Minister’s relief package; roll back of rates of mixed fertilizers, etc. About 300 workers of the Morcha reached the entry- gate, but the local administration stopped them from entering.

The Morcha workers were trying to stop the Malwa Express, which arrived at about 2 pm and during this interval verbal duels among them and the police and civil officers were often seen. BJP MLAs Satish Malviya and Dilip Singh Shekhavat also tried to reach the platform to stop the train, but the officers did not allow them, too.

During these developments, some over- whelmed Morcha workers tried to jump above the barricades which were put in large numbers at the railway station premises. Looking to the aggressive mood of the agitators, police opened cane charge to disperse them which led to injuries to two workers including national executive member Mahesh Patidar.

After the departure of Malwa Express, the workers started arguing with the officers to arrest them. They were better interested in showing their involvement to the media persons. Finally, about 150 workers including Morcha’s city president Kesar Singh Patel were formally arrested and carried away in two buses. They were later released.
