Kalidas literatore; treasure of pleasure

Ujjain: Kalidas’s literature teaches us to enjoy the life. His literature is the treasure of pleasures. Kalidas’s literature also signifies the relevance of five senses. Koutilya and Kalidas resemble in this sense.These views were expressed by Vice- chancellor of Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur, Dr Uma Vaidya during a lecture series on Kalidas on ‘ Inter Connection of Human and Nature in Kalidas’s literature’.

Dr Vaidya further said that ‘ guna’, ‘ riti’ and ‘ alankar’ adorn the literature, but they are futile without senses. Kalidas has beautifully described the importance of senses to relish the particular subject. Dr Somnath Nege from Varanasi chaired the programme. Dr Pavan Vyas conducted the programme while deputy director of Kalidas Sanskrit Academy Shashiranjan Akela proposed the vote of thanks.

Poets recited poetries during Sanskrit Kavi Samvay programme based on politics and contemporary issues during Kalidas Samaroh on Friday.More than 15 poets recited the poems on this occasion. Prof Prabhunath Dwiwedi from Varanasi chaired the session.

Dr Ichharam Dwiwedi recited a poem describe the character of Lord Shiva. Dr Santosh Pandya welcomed the guests.Dr Tulsidas Paroha conducted the programme while Prof Mithilaprasad Tripathi proposed the vote of thanks.
