Speeding truck hits bike

OUR STAFF REPORTER BHOPAL An ISRO scientist died while another suffered injuries when a speeding truck hit their motorcycle in Piplani area on Sunday afternoon. The mishap took place when the scientists we

re going to MP Nagar for some work.

According to the police, ISRO scientists Naveen R Raju, son of Raju and Anup Kumar were going to MP Nagar on their motorcycle.

On JK road their motorcycle was hit from behind by a speeding truck at around 2 pm. Anup who was riding the bike was tossed away while Naveen fell on the road and his head came under the rear wheel of the truck. Naveen sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot while Anup was rushed to Hamidia hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger.

Anup did not suffer any serious head injuries since he was wearing helmet, the police informed.

The truck driver fled from the spot leaving the truck at the spot of the accident.

Naveen, a native of Andhra Pradesh was presently staying at ISRO c&us under Piplani police area.
