Ujjain: Devotees appeared to be agitated over the irregularities prevailed at Mahakaleshwar Temple on Mahashivratri on Thursday.

Though less number of devotees turned to temple to visit the lord due to unseasonal rainfall and board examination, yet administration failed to provide easy and smooth visit to devotees.

There had no problem to visit the lord for family members of temple priests and administrative officials. They were given entry in the temple without having special darshan passes. Security cops deployed at different points at the temple caused inconvenience to devotees by dominating them. Entry for special pass holders was changed at the eleventh hour.

Even cops were available at different points to receive family members of administrative and police officials at entry gates of the temple.

The long queue which began from Bada Ganpati temple caused inconvenience to devotees as they had to remain in queue for hours.

With the frequent entry and exit of priests into the Garbhgriha common devotees could not have comfortable darshan of Jyotirlingam from barricades. Cops were struggling to remove devotees from barricades and Nandi hall. Certain devotees were given entry in Nandi hall by security officials keeping the administrative directives aside.
