Ujjain : IG V Madhukumar chaired a review meeting for security arrangements to be made during Mahakaleshwar Shahi Sawari on Monday, at police control room on Saturday.
IG gave several decisions to police officials to manage tight security arrangements during the royal procession. IG also asked police officials to deal with devotees softly and politely. All the cops to be deployed at the procession will bear mono and IC cards. Cops should ensure good treatment with devotees. Parking arrangements should be done considering the arrival of devotees in bulk on the day of procession.
SP Anurag Kumar also chaired a review meeting with police officials and directed officials to make proper security arrangements during the procession. Entry of two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles will be restricted on the route of Mahakal royal procession. There will be heavy rush in the city considering Somvati Amavasya. People from far off areas will take holy bath in Kshipra and will visit the procession.
