Ujjain : IG V Madhukumar expressed great concern over the increasing rate of crime at the divisional crime review meeting held at IG office here on Friday. IG asked police officials to make effective control over the rate of crime.Crime in last three months has increased in comparison to the last year.

IG reviewed the crimes took place during last three months beginning from January 2015. IG appeared to be worried over the crimes related to murder and attempt to murder and directed SPs of different districts to take strict action. A drive should be launched to recover illegal weapons. He also expressed concern over recent shootout in the city and Ratlam and asked police officials to arrest the criminals at any cost. Directives were given to search for chain snatchers by conducting a massive hunt. Strict vigilance should be kept over SIMI activities. Action should be taken on the reports filed by women in cases like missing and abduction.To maintain communal harmony in the zone, criminal booked in such cases should be arrested.

DIG SP Singh, SP MS Verma, Abhay Singh, Avinash Sharma, RS Meena, Dr Ashish, Manoj Sharma, Rudolf Alwares, and others were present at the meeting.
