Ujjain : Ramesh Patidar (54), a resident of Subhash Nagar was crushed to death by a speeding car near Do Talab oh the Sanwer Road here on Monday morning.
Ramesh was out for a morning walk with his wife Pavitra, when the speeding Maruti Ritz hit the couple near Do Talab.
Ramesh was killed on the spot while the wife, Pavitra, sustained serious injuries. The car driver took the couple to the nearest hospital in his car. The car driver identified as Avino Mehta, a resident of Harihar Nagar, was later arrested by the Neelganga police and the vehicle was impounded. Later, MLA Mohan Yadav also reached the Civil Hospital and provided condolences to the grieving family.
