This is the second incident in 15 days, where a VIP had broken the law inside the temple.
Pt Dilip Guru said, no one except the Pujari cam enter the garbha griha during the Bhasmaarti, this has been history of the temple for centuries. The MTMC should observe caution when implementing the laws. Around a week ago MLA Mohan Yadav had entered the garbha-griha during Bhasmaarti.
Norms violation is a daily affair at Mahakal Mandir
Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (MTMC) seems helpless and is unable to stop the influential people from entering in the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Mahakaleshwar during the Bhasmaaarti. Baneshwari Kavad Yatra convener, Golu Shukla attended the bhasmaarti while standing inside the sanctum sanctorum and flouted all the rules setup by the MTMC. According to the rules, only priests could remain inside during the bhasmaarti. Additional Temple Administrator, Dharmraj Pradhan was also present in the temple during the bhasmaarti. When Temple Administrator RP Tiwari was contacted, he was seen avoiding the whole issue and just said ‘Officers are not capable enough to stop the politicos entering in the sanctum sanctorum’. Few days ago, State Spokesperson of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Roop Pamnani had said, officials of the MTMC are disrupting and unable to handle the management of the temple. On the first Monday of the Shraavan month, MLA of the south constituency of the city Mohan Yadav had attended the bhasmaarti standing inside the sanctum sanctorum. MTMC had also been caught in the state of dilemma on the issue of Mohan Yadav’s entry in the sanctum sanctorum before media. Both the government officials and the politicos of the ruling party were seen passing the bucks on each other on the whole matter. According to the sources, Shukla managed to enter inside the sanctum sanctorum because of his close connections with one of the national political leader of the ruling party. On being contacted Additional Temple Administrator Dharmraj Pradhan said, “I didn’t have the information about the presence of Golu Shukla inside the sanctum sanctorum; he might have entered with the permission of the priests”.
