Concerning departments should work with coordination to develop Hathaikhera Dam as one of the most beautiful tourist spots of the city.

tify ancient heritages of Old Bhopal including Taj- ul- Masajid, Taj Mahal, Benazir Palace and Motia Talab.

Urban administration and development minister Babulal Gaur gave these instructions at a review meeting of Hathaikhera Dam beautification project.

Principal Secretary Urban Administration and Development S. P. S. Parihar, MP Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Dr. Mohan Yadav, Commissioner Urban Administration Sanjay Shukla, Additional Secretary Water Resources Manish Singh, peoples representatives and officers of various departments were present on the occasion.

Gaur said that besides departments, cooperation of peoples representatives is also being sought for development of Old Bhopals beautification and development of tourist places.

With a view to ensuring development of the city from tourism point of view, now its famous old buildings are also being beautified.

It was informed at the meeting that the Water Resources Department has erected minarets at distance of 30 meters for safety at Hathaikhera Dam.

Now, minarets will be constructed at a distance of 15 meters.

The Public Health Engineering Department has chalked out a Rs. 12 crore proposal for constructing water treatment plant to purify water flowing from nullahs into the dam.

The Tourism Department has made a provision of Rs. 50 lakh for constructing boat club, cafeteria, huts etc in the first phase. The Public Works Department has prepared an estimate worth Rs. 7.26 crore for construction of approach road. A separate estimate worth Rs. 1.92 crore has been prepared for construction of approach roads from Hathaikhera to Ghora Pachhad Dam.

The district administration has freed about 30 acre land of Hathaikhera Dam.

The CPA has planted five thousand saplings along the dam, which will be protected for three years.

Bhopal Municipal Corporation has released a floating fountain in the dam.

The Water Resources Department will undertake pitching work of the dam.

Collector Nikunj Shrivastava, Municipal Commissioner Rajneesh Shrivastava, social worker Raghunandan Singh Rajput and Corporators were also present on the occasion.
