Ujjain : Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (MTMC) has started online booking service for devotees to hire rooms at dharamshalas, online donation and for buying prasadi. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan dedicated the service to public during a programme at Pt Suryanarayan Vyas dharamshala on Monday.
Chauhan booked online Prasadi of Rs 1100 while dedicating the online booking service. Devotees will be provided the benefit of online booking of dharamshala from September 1, 2014. Devotees can book dharamshala rooms, donate fund and buy prasadi on the website www.mahakaleshwar.nic.in. Outsider devotees can book rooms in dharamshala before they visit to Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlingam. MTMC website will provide a calendar for the vacant rooms in dharamshala. Devotees will have to make advance payment at the time booking through internet banking, debit or credit cards. Booking will also be done at the counters of dharamshala for devotees. There will be no facility for cancellation of booking or extending the date of stay.
MTMC has decided to make its functioning computerised and in this sequence devotees are provided the facility of online booking of rooms at dharamshala, donating fund through online and for buying prasadi. The software to book all the facilities online will be able to store IDs and photos of devotees who will stay at dharamshala. Devotees staying at dharamshala will be provided Bhasmaarti passes from the counter of dharamshala. They need not to apply for Bhasmaarti passes separately. Devotees from far off areas can buy prasadi online through the new service provided by MTMC. Devotees who will apply online for prasadi will be sent the parcel through Post Office.
Devotees now can donate funds to MTMC through online service with the help of website. Devotees need to fill an online form to detail their individual information. Donors will be given rebate from tax in case they give their PAN. Member of Parliament Dr Chintamani Malviya, MLA Mohan Yadav, Divisional Commissioner Shivshekhar Shukla and Collector BM Sharma were present on this occasion.
