Four marooned persons rescued

BHOPAL: Four people on Sunday marooned in an overflowing river in Tikamgarh district, who were later rescued by the district administration. The rivers in Tikamgarh district are in fury owing to incessant rains. According to Tikamgarh police, four villagers got struck in the overflowing Jamuni river under Kotwali police station area at least for five hours on Sunday.

They were finally rescued by divers of the local administration and admitted to the local hospital for treatment. It rained heavily in Tikamgarh district on Sunday, the police said.

In the meantime, Shivpuri police have recovered the bodies of two persons. One of them was a teacher. They got drowned while crossing the degree bride. Due to incessant rains, the Sindh river is overflowing.
