Fate sealed inside strong rooms; CISF jawans deployed for security

Ujjain: Officers and employees deputed in election duties returned to their respective headquarters on late Monday. After all the polling parties reached to Government Engineering College Ujjain ( GECU), the electronics voting machines ( EVMs) were locked inside the strong rooms. Counting will be done on December 8, 2013.

Thousands of officials and workers were deployed for election duty on Monday.The EVMs and other election materials were deposited at GECU on late Monday. Last polling party was relieved at 2 am on Tuesday. All the EVMs were locked inside the strong rooms at GECU and CISF jawans are guarding the rooms. The rooms were sealed in the presence of senior officials. Employees from one tehsil were deployed in another tehsil.

They were provided conveyance by returning officers to reach at their destinations.Scrutiny work was in progress after the EVMs were sealed in the strong rooms on Tuesday. Deputy district returning officer Pavan Jain and superintendent of Election Officer Bhavna Gurdasani and all returning officers were present at GECU. Polling parties returning to Government Engineering College in Ujjain on Monday night.
