Jewellery seized from Reddy aide

ELLAR ( K’TAKA): A CBI team on Saturday seized gold jewellery worth about Rs two crore from bank lockers of Obulapuram Mining Corporation ( OMC) Managing Director Srinivasa Reddy here, who was brought from Hyderabad for enquiries into his monetary transactions.Reddy, currently under CBI custody for questioning relating to his alleged role in illegal mining, was taken to a private bank, where details of his various accounts and also in benami names were examined.

Amir confesses to role in spot- fixing

KARACHI: After claiming to be innocent for long, banned Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has reportedly confessed to his involvement in the spotfixing scandal that shook the core of international cricket last year. Gangster Ashwin Naik detained

NASHIK: Police have detained gangster Ashwin Naik on Saturday, who is being interrogated in Ambad police station here, to know the motive behind his visit to the city. Nashik Commissioner of Police Vinod Lokhande told this to reporters. Naik is being interrogated, along with few others, in connection with his visit to the city and the reason behind it, Lokhande said.Acting on a tip- off that Naik is putting up at a local hotel, city police conducted a raid and and then detained him, Lokhande added.
