MUMBAI: Intelenet SC emerged champions in the Fairplay football trophy football tournament organized by the Bombay Football Referees Association ( BFRA) and played at the St Xaviers ground, Parel on Thursday. Intelenet overcame PIFA Under- 17 2- 1 in the final.

Results: Final: Intelenet SC 2 ( Titus Utenkar 2) beat PIFA Under- 17 1 ( Sashak Jadhav).

MUMBAI: Top seeded Disha Shirdhankar, earlier winner of double crown in the Poinsur Gymkhana inter- school table tennis held at Poinsur Gymkhana, was given a fright by petite Cheshta Shetty in the prequarterfinals of the girls singles event of the JVPGC All Mumbai Promotional table tennis tournament, hosted by Juhu- Vile Parle Gymkhana here on Friday. However, Disha after prevailing over Cheshta at 11- 9, 10- 12, 11- 6, 11- 6, found the going smooth as she outplayed her next rival Akanksha Sanghvi 13- 11, 11- 5, 11- 2 to make the last four grade.
