OUR STAFF REPORTER Indore The city police along with a team of Indore Municipal Corporation ( IMC) food department officials raided a factory in Kulkarni Ka Bhatta which was engaged in

manufacturing fake ghee and seized 250 kg fake ghee.

The raiding party also seized wrappers of branded companies from the premises.

According to Pardesipura police, information was received that fake ghee was is being manufactured in Shivshakti Nagar behind Kulkarni Ka Bhatta for quite some time. Accordingly, a joint operation was undertaken by the police and the corporation officials and raid was conducted on the factory on Friday.

The police said that one Vijendra has been arrested from the factory premises. The police seized 250 kg of finished items along with wrappers of some famous companies such as Amul and Rajbhog who are manufacturing ghee. During the questioning Vijendra told the police that he is only an employee and the owners are Raju and Sandeep who reside at Bhagirathpura. He also said that the ghee is supplied to nearby villages. The police are now searching for absconding owners of the factory.
