Ujjain : On the second day of 60th National School Games being organised at Mahananda Nagar sports arena under the aegis of School Education Department, exhilarating league matches of Kho- Kho and wrestling enthralled the spectators on Tuesday.
Convener publicity committee Amitoj Bhargava and Sanjay Lalwani informed that Kho- Kho matches were played in morning session of second day. Delhi team defeated Chandigarh by 10 points and an inning, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan defeated Andhra Pradesh team by nine points, Chhatisgarh defeated Madhya Pradesh by eight points, Jammu & Kashmir team was defeated by Maharashtra by 10 point and an inning and Pondicherry was defeated by Punjab by 12 points and an inning in 19 year girl category. from Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Maharashtra and West Bengal won in 19 years boy group.
Former Municipal Speaker Prakash Chittora received introduction from players at the beginning of the matches.
Technical observer ( Kho- Kho) from Delhi, Sumit Bhatia, assistant director RK Paliwal, Dr Sandeep Nadkarni, Anil Nikam, Motilal Dangre and others were present. BJP city president Iqbal Singh Gandhi and joint director MS Rathore encouraged sports persons during early matches of Kho- Kho on Monday night. SV Swami ( Madhya Pradesh), Pavan Kumar ( Himachal), Pradeep Singh ( Delhi) and Surendra Bhandari ( Chandigarh) were judges of Kho- Kho matches.
Matches Greco- Roman wrestling and free style were played during elimination round for girls and boys ( 19 year) category in evening session on Tuesday.
