Ujjain: The eminent artists from local and far off places judged the paintings made by young children during Free Press’ ‘ On the Spot’ Painting Competition at Muktakashi Rangmanch ground of Kalidas Academy on Sunday. The judges found it difficult to assess the arts of talented participants.

Eminent jury judges best entries of painting contest

The venue was spilled with heavy rush as thousands of little artists carrying paint- brushes in their hands joined ‘ On- the- Spot’ Painting Competition at Kalidas Sanskrit Academy. On being interviewed, renowned painter R P Sharma told Free Press that he had been in contact with Free Press for long time. It was a grand event for connoisseurs of art to paint their artistic skills. Several academic institutes of the city contributed in the contest and made the event a grand success. It was a historical day in the field of drawing and painting.

Dr R C Bhawsar, who is the veteran artist of the city and retired professor from Government Madhav Arts College, said that all the participants gave wonderful performances and it was very difficult to select the best one. Free Press made a very good effort to organise a great event for school children.

Alpana Bhatt, HoD, Department of Drawing Madhav College Ujjain said that the contest was an admirable event. The hard work and efforts of Free Press reflected in the programme. Though it was a chilly cold morning, children appeared enthusiastically to take part in the contest.She congratulated Free Press team for organising such event.
