Ujjain : E-registry service providers went on a strike in protest of the malfunctioned software of e-registry, on Tuesday. The e-registry and e-stamping scheme initiated as pilot project by the State government appeared to be troublesome for the service providers. Service providers handed a memorandum to the administrative official.
Common public is troubled with the software of e-registry and e-stamping. People will have to wait at the deputy registrar’s office for hours for the documents. Service providers have made several complaints to the State government, but nobody had paid attention on it. The software made for the e-registry has failed to meet the needs of the public. In protest of this, the massive stir was launched across the State.
The software has defaults as it reduces the amount from the accounts of service providers. There is no system of the refunds of the amounts. Stamp vendors are not getting stamps in time. District Bar Association had already submitted a memorandum in this regard. There has not been taken any action over it till now.
