Drunk medical students spread terror with air gun

Ujjain : The Nanakheda Police had a tough time in taming five future doctors, allegedly in an inebriated condition, spread terror by flaring and air gun and created a ruckus at the Nanakheda square here on late Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 1 pm when the drunken youths were returning to their apartments after consuming liquor at a bar located on Indore Road. The youths on their return journey after a misunderstanding the youths alighted from the car they were traveling, at the Nanakheda Square and started flaring and air gun in middle of the busy intersection. The youths tried to escape after seeing the approaching police, but were nabbed by two constables.

The youths were identified as Rahul son of RK Chaudhary of Bhopal, Pratik son of Shyam Shukla of Katni, Avinash son of Shridhar Shukla of Lucknow, Anurag son of US Yadav of Agra and Punit Purohit, a resident of Ahmedabad. The police took the youth to police station, where they were interrogated in released later. The police released the youths and no case was filed against them. The police did not even bothered performed a medical checkup of any of the youths, to confirm the consumption of liquor.
