Ujjain : The artists who would make it at the State level Talent Hunt Contest will get chance to perform at Simhastha Fair-2016. District Level Talent Hunt Contest was held at Kalidas Sanskrit Academy, on Monday. Selected participants from block level participated at the district level.
MLA Mohan Yadav was chief guest of the programme. In his address Yadav said that State government has launched the Talent Hunt contest to give a platform to the talents at Simhastha Fair. Visitors would enjoy the performances of the artists. Zila Panchayat CEO Ruchika Chauhan delivered a welcome note and said that 104 participants including solo and group performances participated at district level. The selected participants would be given away certificates at Complex Hall of the Academy during a programme at 4 pm on Tuesday.
The jury was comprised of senior artists Shridhar Vyas, Radhakishan Wadia, retired Prof Sudhakar Devle, senior litterateur Pilkendra Arora, Prof RC Bhawasar, Namita Shirke and Rakesh Ghugre. Next level will be held at divisional level in which participants selected from all district would participate. The Project is being implemented in four phases i.e. first at block level, second at district, third at divisional and fourth at State level. Participants selected at State level would perform in different genres at Simhastha. State level event would be held in the end of December in Ujjain. Collector Kavindra Kiyawat and ADM Avadhesh Sharma were present.
