Ujjain : Divisional Commissioner Dr Ravindra Pastore directed Mahakaleshwar Temple administrator and officials of Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) and Ujjain Development Authority (UDA) to visit Akshardham, ISKCON and Lotus Temples and study the arrangements being made for devotees, during the inspection of corridor and interpretation centre being developed at Mahakal Temple premises on Monday.
Divisional Commissioner Dr Pastore, Collector Kiyawat and administrative officials were present during a standup meeting held at Mahakaleshwar Temple on Monday. DC chaired a meeting with officials at meeting hall of temple administrator and issued directives to officials for visiting famous temples of Akshardham, ISKCON and Lotus Temple in Delhi. They should study the arrangements made by temple authorizes for devotees. Officials should also observe the infrastructure work, worship, crowd management and others at these temples.
During the inspection of corridor, Pastore directed officials to ensure preparation of Laddoo prasadi at some outer places instead of preparing them at temple premises. A separate building should be built for this purpose by UDA. Development works should be accomplished quickly. Construction agencies were directed to use advance technology to speed up construction work. Pastore also told officials for not using the term tunnel and instead they should use the term corridor. A map of Mahakaleshwar temple premises should be prepared by Archeological expert. Height of the flag installed at the summit of the temple will be increased to 70-100 feet.
UDA CEO was directed to finish the development works being done at Chintaman Road by January 2015. Member of Parliament Chintamani Malviya sought about the flaws being confronted in the development of corridor. The corridor should be equipped with ventilation, air and exhaust fans. MLA Mohan Yadav also gave important suggestions about corridor. Pastore also asked for the rates of ingredients being sold by vendors outside the temple. He directed administrator and UMC officer for directing vendors to display a rate-list of all ingredients compulsorily. He also made inspection of interpretation centre and directed officials for finished the construction work within time limit. Municipal Commissioner Avinash Lavania, UDA CEO Shivendra Singh others were present.
Go united for Simhastha Fair: Dr Pastore
Divisional Commissioner Dr Ravindra Pastore reviewed the development works being done under Simhastha Fair 2016, on Monday. During a meeting Pastore asked PWD and PHE departments to be united to accomplish the works assigned to them. Road construction and supply of drinking water cannot be separated in two departments. Both the departments will be responsible for these. Commissioner asked officials to display a sign board of all development works.
