Cops still clueless about youths murder

BHOPAL: The Piplani police are still groping in the dark in connection with the murder of a youth whose body was found near Bijli Nagar Colony on Thursday morning. The cops are interrogating s

ome local shopkeepers and the people with whom Rakesh, 28, was often seen, but no one could provide any concrete information regarding his murder.

Police sources said Rakesh was turned out of his home five years back following his habit of consuming excess liquor. His father had died a long back and his mother and brother work in BHEL and live at Anand Nagar. Rakesh used to work as help at a local wine shop and used to sleep outside it, sources added. Also, Rakesh had no enmity with anyone. The postmortem report suggests that Rakesh died from head injuries, and strangulation marks were also found in his neck.

Issueless woman ends life

Two women committed suicide in two separate incidents in the city on Saturday. In the first incident, depressed over not having children a married woman committed suicide by hanging herself. According to the police, Sarita, 27, wife of Devendra, resident of Sunehri Bagh under TT Nagar police area hanged herself on Saturday morning. According to family sources, Sarita was in depression as she was childless even after 10 years of marriage. The police have registered a case. In another incident, Neetu Lodhi, 24, daughter of Man Singh, resident of Sai Baba Nagar under Habibganj police area committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of her room on Saturday. The reason for taking the extreme step is yet to be known. A case was registered and the body was sent for post mortem.

Youth commits suicide

A youth on Saturday afternoon committed suicide by hanging himself in Chhola Mandir area. He used to work at a medical store. According to police, Anil 18, son of Suresh, resident of Shankar Nagar slums, committed suicide at his home on Saturday afternoon. He used to live with his cousin and was under depression over some unknown reason for quite some time. His cousin, found him hanging in his room and brought him down and rushed him to the nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

A case was registered.
