Ujjain: Mahakal Institute of Technology (MIT) lifted the title of the nodal level cricket championship. The tournament was organised by the RGPV here at MGI campus.

The tournament was orgainsed for engineering colleges in the Ujjain division. The cricket team of the MIT College defeated the MITM, by three wickets during a match being played here on Wednesday. After elected to bat first, the team of MIT posted 107 runs in 15 overs with Mayur Tiwari scoring 36 runs with six, fours. In bowling, Imran Shaikh claimed 3 wickets for 3 runs in 3 overs. In reply, the MITM team got all out for 45 runs while chasing the target. Chief Guest on the occasion was Ashok Jagdale of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) cricket development committee and K Pawar of MPCA Coaching committee. MGI chairman Praveen Vashishtha, vice-chairmen Alok Vashishtha and Aditya Vashistha, MIT director Dr Vivek Bansod, Dr Rishi Dubey and Salim Kaptan were present. Dr KK Shukla proposed a vote of thanks.
