ad prayed to the court that the unions should not be allowed to proceed on a strike.” Baba Kadam, president of the Bharatiya Karmachari Kamgar Sena, said, ” We were invited by Additional Municipal Commissioners for negotiations but the commissioner did not come forward. We would therefore proceed on an indefinite peaceful agitation from September 19th.

The employees would come to office but would not work. Even the Commissioners driver would not go to pick him up.”

BMC mulls stringent action on firm

BMC legal department has suggested sending show cause notice to listed contractor firm R. P. Shah Infra Projects Ltd. who has concealed information while bagging a Rs 70 crore water project. Additional Municipal Commissioner Rajeev Jalota said, ” Though I have not received the file yet, I was told verbally by our department that we can go ahead with sending a show cause notice to R. P Shah.”
