Cops to be trained for Simhastha Fair-2016

Ujjain: DGP Nandan Dubey chaired a review meeting regarding crowd management during Simhastha Fair-2016, in the city on Thursday. DGP directed officials for imparting training to cops who will be deployed in Simhastha Fair. Directives were issued for calling experienced police officials, retired police officers and scholars for imparting training to cops to make them aware about their duty, human behavior and other factors.

SP Anurag Kumar informed that follow up report of points discussed during last Simhastha meeting taken by DGP Dubey on January 27, 2014 was presented at the start of the meeting on Thursday. SP gave a power point presentation of the work plan prepared for Simhastha-2016 and explored various points before officials. ADGP (Intelligence) Sarabjeet Singh directed police officials for preparing an extensive plan for managing crowd during Simhastha Fair-2016.

He also talked about the training of cops to be deployed in the fair. He also directed officials for initiating development works as per the work plan prepared by SP.  IG V Madhukumar and SP Anurag demanded for police force and other resources to be required during Simhastha. They also informed that training of cops would begin from next month. It has been ensured where the CCTV and dome cameras will be installed in the fair. ADGP Security SL Thousen directed for managing security system during Simhastha-2016. ADGP (Disaster Management) SK Pandey and ADGP (Planning) Pavan Jain observed the work plan prepared for disaster management and planning and issued necessary directives.

ADGP (Fire Services) Dr Vijay Kumar, ADGP (telecommunication) Avnesh Manglam, ADGP (Management) Kailash Makwana and IG (Law & Order) Sonali Mishra also issued directives to their concerned departments for managing arrangements. Mandsaur SP Manohar Verma told that there is a strong possibility of steep increase in devotees in Simhastha-2016 in comparison to Simhastha-2004. Widening of Ghats, traffic arrangements, road transportation and accommodation arrangements should be started from the present moment.Divisional Commissioner Shivshekhar Shukla, Collector BM Sharma and others were present during the meeting.
