Cong registers sweeping victory in Dist Planning Commission polls

Ujjain : Congress registered the sweeping victory on all the ten posts in the election of District Planning Commission of Zila Panchayat which was held in the city on Wednesday. Four members from Ujjain Municipal Corporation and one each from Nagar Palika and Nagar Panchayat were also elected in the 16 member Board of District Planning Commission.

In 16 members board 11 won from Congress while only 5 candidates of BJP managed to get the place in District Planning Commission. Bharat Porwal, Karan Kumaria, Rajendra Singh Solanki, Ishwar Singh Chauhan, Anita Parasiya, Geeta Bai Dabi, Anju Malviya, Pramila Trivedi, Sumitra Somti, Geeta Bai Patidar of the Congress won in Zila Panchayat. And Dwarkadheesh Sharma of Congress from Tarana Nagar Panchayat won a seat from Nagar Panchayat.

While on all the four seats of UMC, BJP candidates won. Sonu Gehlot, Anita Rathore, Raajeshwari Joshi and Rajesh Sethi of BJP won the seat of UMC while Shobha Yadav of Nagda won the seat of Nagar Panchayat.
