Garg served notices on both the Congress Corporators asking them as why their membership should not be terminated after their alleged misbehaviour during the BMC general council meeting.
Mayor Krishna Gaur and BJP MIC members had handed over memorandum to Divisional commissioner PravinGarg on July 30 after controversy over renewal of Laxmi Talkies lease during BMC general council meeting led to heated exchanges and the two Corporators allegedly hurled abuses at the Chair.
Bhopal Municipal Corporation ( BMC) administration received the notices on Saturday for execution.
Both the Corporators denied that they have been severed notices but BMC sources said that the Corporators refused to accept the notices.
Mohammed Shafiq Khan said, ” I have not been given any notice and today I am leaving for Mumbai.
And I will return on August 9.
” Similarly, Sudhir Gupta said, ” I have not been given any notice.
Through media I came to know I have been served notices.” Earlier, Congress Corporators led by DCC president PC Sharma and PCC secretary Sunil Sood called on Governor Ramnaresh Yadav and demanded termination of the membership of fourMiCmembers- Asharam Sharma, Makesh Makwana, Pankaj Chaukse, and Ashok Pandey- for habitually interrupting the speeches of opposition leaders during BMC general Council meeting.
