Ujjain : Divisional Commissioner Ravindra Pastor has ordered a probe into the anomalies going in the Zila Panchayat (ZP), after complaint of ZP president, Mahesh Parmar.
Commissioner Pastor in his letter number 347/29/10 has handed over the probe to collector. President, Parmar had written a complaint to Pastor, alleging abuse of their rights. The whole incident is the outcome of altercation between ZP vice president Bharat Porwal and District Education Officer Sanjay Goyal on September 29. DEO Goyal had allegedly blamed Porwal for pressurizing him for certain work. He had raised the issue without permission of president Parmar, which became the bone of contention.
Parmar had called special session of the ZP council using the vested powers under Section 44(6) of the Panchayati Raj Adhniyam and had written a letter to ZP, CEO Ruchika Chouhan for organising a meeting, but she failed to organise the meeting within 7 days. 7 days is the time in which the meeting should be organised, when called by president, according to the Act.
