Commissioner inspects Simhastha development works

Ujjain: Urban Administration and Development ( UAD) Department Commissioner Sanjay Shukla arrived in the city on Monday to conduct a thorough inspection of Simhastha development works being done by Ujjain Municipal Corporation ( UMC). Shukla visited the construction sites and issued directives to concerned officials.

UAD Commissioner Shukla began his inspection from Hariphatak over bridge at 10.30 am on Monday. He also visited Ramghat, Agar Road, Mangalnath, Bahadurganj, Gopal Mandir, Qumari Marg and other places. Inspection ended at 4 pm. Shukla expressed anger over irregularities in development works.

UMC officials led Commissioner Shukla during inspection as per their will. They even did not let Shukla to come out of car at several sites. UMC officials showed him maps on the papers while the actual condition of some roads is very worst. These roads include Mohan Nagar and Mandi area via to Maksi Road.

Nine meter road proposed behind Prem Chhaya Parisar in Bahadurganj area is only shown on the map. Commissioner made formal inspection of the sites due to lack of time.Commissioner made a very hurried inspection of Qumari Marg. At the end of the inspection UAD Commissioner and other officials reached at Government Engineering College.

Municipal Commissioner Vivek Kshotriya, deputy commissioner SN Mishra and others were present during the inspection. Commissioner Shukla met Mayor Rameshwar Akhand at his residence ahead of inspection and had discussion over different aspects of development works.
