Commissioner dissatisfies over rural affairs of Nagda

Ujjain : The affairs of fair price shops, government schools, aanganwadi centers, water supply arrangements, different infrastructural construction works, etc, under Nagda sub-division were not found up to the satisfaction level of the Divisional Commissioner Shiv Shekhar Shukla during his surprise inspection of many rural areas on Wednesday.Shukla first visited Paslod, near Unhel, and conducted inspection of the high and middle schools and fair price shop. During talks, farmers informed him that they were not getting sufficient fertilizers. On checking the attendance register, he found that teachers use to remain absent in the school, but attach causal leave applications to safe them in any awkward situation. He also found that the computer sets made available under head-start scheme were eating dust. Construction materials of mid-day meal kitchen, urinals etc were found sub-standard.

Shukla also visited village Jalodia, where he found that the doors of primary school were closed before 2 pm and he was told by the people that such situation remains prevalent almost everyday. Affairs of revenue department were, however, found up to the mark. On visiting Nagda, he took information from different officers with regard to various construction works and distribution of relief amount to the hailstorm affected farmers. Irked over absence of some officers and incomplete information provided by them, he directed to issue show cause notices to them.
