Ujjain : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to the father of deceased journalist Chandan Gupta, here on Tuesday. Chouhan reached at Press Club building and gave away a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to Chandraprakash Gupta father of deceased journalist Chandan Gupta.
CM Chouhan expressed mourning over the untimely death of journalist Chandan Gupta and consoled his kin. Divisional Commissioner Ravindra Pastor, Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, SP MS Verma, Press Club president Vishal Hada, secretary Lalit Jwel, vice-president Uday Chandel, Pradeep Malviya, Sunil Magaria, Anand Nigam, Devendra Purohit, Sandeep Vats, Nirukt Bhargava, Umesh Chouhan and others were present.
CM rebukes Essel com to work properly
CM unveiled the statue of Mahatma Jyotiba Fuley at Indira Nagar on his visit to the city on Tuesday. Addressing to the public he rebuked the Essel Power Distribution Company to work properly in the city not causing inconvenience to the citizens. He also said that Mahatma Jyotiba Fuley worked to make women literate. He also released a booklet titled ‘Pragati ke Sopan’ containing the list of development works done by Ujjain Municipal Corporation in last five years. CM made appeal to citizens for making city clean, beautiful and educated. He wished the city of Ujjain becomes the popular on the world map. State government will provide scholarship to the poor students of general category. He warned Private Power Distribution Company Essel considering the complaints filed by citizens. He also asked the firm to leave the city if it fails to provide better services to the citizens.
