Cleanliness campaign gains pace

Ujjain : Several social and voluntary organisations have come forward to participate in PM Narendra Modi led Clean India Campaign in the city of temples.

Health Committee incharge Sunil Goyal initiated a cleanliness drive at ward- 18 Sudama Nagar on Friday.

BJP Daulatganj block president endra Rathore led the drive. Former president Rakesh adav informed that Mukesh Joshi, Rakesh Rao and residents participated in the campaign. BJP district Vice- president Vinita Sharma was chief guest during a cleanliness drive at ward- 7 Patel Nagar on Friday.

Sheel Lashkari, Mohan Jaiswal, local corporator Rajubai Gehlot and others were present.

Nehru uva Kendra carried out an awareness drive in villages to promote Clean India Campaign. The programme was organised at village Lekoda. Regional Publicity officer and chief DS Parmar addressed on this occasion. District coordinator Arvind Shridhar talked about the activities of centre. Lions Club Ujjain Gold conducted polythene free Ujjain drive by distributing 1000 cloth bags. Charter president Sanjay Saxena said that cloth carry bags were distributed at Freeganj, Ghasmandi and vegetable market.
