Class 10 paper leak : 8 booked by police

Ujjain : The Neelganga Police on Sunday registered a case against 8 persons in the MPBSE standard X examination paper leak scam.

The FIR was registered under Section ¾ of the Madhya Pradesh Recognized Examinations Act, 1937. The booked persons include four from the gang and four local students. The police had been investigating the case and found the links of the whole scam related to Gwalior and Indore. Police teams have been sent to Indore and Gwalior for further investigation. Reportedly the Social Science paper of standard X, board exam was leaked online on March 21, just a few hours before the examination. The students were getting scanned copies of the leaked paper on social media application Whatsapp.

The whole scam was unearthed when the invigilator at Bharatiya Gyanpeeth School confiscated the mobile phone of a student before permitting him to sit inside the examination. The invigilator Brajmohan Singh Parihar got a glimpse of a suspicious document on the phone before, the student Mayank Punjabi switched it off. On inspection the invigilator was dumb struck to see the same paper of social science which has just started. During interrogation Mayank said one Praveen Garg, a resident of Gwalior, sent him the paper.

The school authorities immediately informed the District Education Officer Rama Nahte about the incident. The education department initially lodged a complaint with the police. The police from was investigating the case. ASP Asit Yadav said almost all links have been joined, a team has been sent to Indore for investigating about lead suspect Pratik, who sent the paper to local boys. Investigating officer SI Salim Khan said the arrest of Pratik will unearth the whole story. The booked persons include Hemant Mandloi of Indore, Ravindra Pethe (Ujjain), Prateek Garg, Praveen Garg (Gwalior), Mayank Punjabi, Vicky Chouhan and two others.
